Yoann Gourcuff is reportedly keen to rejoin Bordeaux when his Lyon contract expires at the end of the season.
The 28-year-old midfielder, who won the last of his 31 France caps in 2013, left Bordeaux for Stade de Gerland in 2010.
His five-year spell at Lyon, for whom he has scored 14 goals in 90 Ligue 1 games, appears poised to end in the summer and a return to Bordeaux is seemingly on the cards.
French publication L'Equipe claims that Gourcuff retains strong connections at the Stade Chaban-Delmas club, where he won the league and cup double in 2008 following an ill-fated stint at AC Milan.
Gourcuff's agent Didier Poulmaire will also apparently investigate potential interest in his client from Spain and Italy before a decision is made.
