Burnley appoint former Leicester and Southampton man Lee Hoos as their new chief executive.

American Lee Hoos has been named as the new chief executive of Burnley FC.

Hoos, 50, has previously held the post at fellow Championship clubs Leicester and Southampton, having entered the English game with Fulham under Mohamed Al-Fayed.

He replaces club legend Paul Fletcher, who stepped down last month after three years in the role.

"It's a privilege to be named as chief executive. I am absolutely delighted to be joining a club that is going places," he told the club website.

"Burnley has an excellent board of directors and a very, very good manager in Eddie Howe."

Hoos will take up his new role at Turf Moor on Tuesday, December 13.
