Former Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is reportedly still Celtic's first choice candidate to fill the vacant managerial role in Glasgow.
The Scottish giants have been without a permanent manager since Neil Lennon departed Celtic Park in February and since then it is believed that Howe has held positive talks with the Hoops.
Howe has been out of a job since leaving the Vitality Stadium last summer, after he could not guide the Cherries to Premier League safety in their fifth season in the top flight of English football.
According to Sky Sports News, Howe would be keen to bring current Bournemouth assistant coaches Stephen Purches and Simon Weatherstone with him if he were to take the Celtic post.
Celtic had hoped to announce a new manager before launching season ticket renewals this week, with the 2021-22 Scottish Premiership season due to start on July 31.
Howe spent eight years with Bournemouth in his second spell as manager between 2012 and 2020, in which time he guided the club from League One to the Premier League.
