Neil Lennon grateful to Celtic

Neil Lennon says that he is grateful for the support he was given during his four years as Celtic manager.

Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon, who departed the club on Thursday, has thanked the Scottish Premiership side for their support during the four years he spent there.

Lennon said that he was confident Celtic are in a strong position for whoever takes over next and was also quick to praise the supporters for their backing while he was manager.

"I can't thank Peter Lawwell and the board enough for their backing and support during my time as manager," Lennon said in a statement.

"The club are in a very strong position and I wish the fans and the club all the very best for the future."

Former player and current Falkenbergs FF manager Henrik Larsson has been installed as the early favourite to replace Lennon.
