Celtic defender Kieran Tierney has insisted that he is "not in any rush" to leave the Scottish champions despite speculation that a number of Premier League clubs want to sign the Scotland international.

Tierney only penned a new six-year contract with the Hoops earlier this season, but the 20-year-old's form has led to suggestions that the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in his services.

The full-back, however, has denied suggestions that he will look to push through a move in this summer's transfer window.

"If somebody wants to buy you then that means you are doing something right," Tierney told reporters. "When big teams are looking at you, it's flattering. It's happened during most windows since I broke through. It's good for me.

"It doesn't bother me or distract me because I'm enjoying myself. I'm playing for Celtic, so I'm happy. I'm not in any rush at all. I had four years left on my last contract and, if I wanted to leave, I would have chosen to run that down. Instead, when the club offered me six I was happy to sign."

Tierney has scored four times and registered 11 assists in 52 appearances for Celtic this season.
