Charlton Athletic moved a step closer to gaining promotion to the Championship by defeating Bournemouth this afternoon.

Yann Kermorgant scored a late winner for Chris Powell's men as they open up a 13-point lead at the top of the table.

Charlton's nearest challengers, Sheffield United, lost ground in the race for promotion with a 3-2 defeat at home to Oldham Athletic. The Blades were two goals up, only for a stoppage-time penalty from Shefki Kuqi earning visiting Oldham all three points.

Simon Grayson's Huddersfield blew a three-goal lead away at Bury to draw 3-3, while James O'Shea rescued a 1-1 draw for MK Dons at Hartlepool United.

Wycombe Wanderers dropped to the bottom of the division following a 4-1 defeat at home to Scunthorpe United.
