Gareth Bale could be absent from Tottenham Hotspur's showdown with Chelsea on Thursday with an ankle injury, while Aaron Lennon and Jermain Defoe also face time on the sidelines.
The Wales international played no part in Spurs' 1-0 win over Sunderland yesterday after picking up a sprain in training.
Defoe was ruled out of the weekend's match, while Lennon was forced to leave the field in the first half and will be excluded from Harry Redknapp's side to face Chelsea later this week.
Despite the London battle being potentially vital in terms of the Premier League title race, Spurs' assistant manager Kevin Bond has insisted that injured players will not be risked.
"It's difficult to see how Aaron Lennon, who came off with a hamstring injury, could be fit in four days," Bond told talkSPORT. "With Gareth Bale we'll have to see how it is but it's a sprained ankle or something like that and Jermain Defoe has done his hamstring also.
"We'll have a good go with all of them and see where we are but as important as it is we wouldn't want to play them in one game and then risk losing them for half a dozen matches. We need to take a look at the bigger picture.
"If they're available and feel they can get through the majority of the game then [Redknapp] will consider them, if not we'll just have to do without them."
Tottenham sit in third place of the league table, two points above the Blues.
