Chelsea reportedly hold an interest in replacing Mauricio Pochettino with Inter Milan head coach Simone Inzaghi.

Chelsea have reportedly emerged as admirers of Inter Milan head coach Simone Inzaghi.

Last summer, the Blues hierarchy opted to hand a two-year contract to Mauricio Pochettino, also holding the option of a third.

However, throughout the Argentine's reign, there has been consistent speculation regarding his future, despite Chelsea hinting that they could make progress under the Argentine.

Despite only sitting in 11th position in the Premier League table, Chelsea are on a four-match unbeaten run in the top flight, while they have also reached an EFL Cup final and an FA Cup semi-final.

Whether the latter two achievements will be enough to convince the powers-that-be to retain trust in Pochettino remains to be seen, and no decision is likely to be taken until the end of the season.

Nevertheless, names are likely to continue to be linked with the Stamford Bridge hotseat for the foreseeable future with more personnel changes expected in the summer.

According to TEAMtalk, Chelsea may make an attempt to entice Inzaghi away from the excellent job that he is doing at Inter.

Inzaghi has recorded 99 victories from his 149 matches in charge, winning two Coppa Italia trophies and guiding Inter to the 2023 Champions League final, where they lost to Manchester City.

Claiming his first Serie A title looks to be a formality, with Inter currently sitting 14 points clear at the top of the standings with just nine matches remaining.

Such an achievement may encourage the 47-year-old to continue his stint at San Siro, with the report acknowledging that it could prove difficult to convince the former striker to leave his current role.

Inzaghi has spent the entirety of his playing and managerial career in Italy, while it is indicated that talks are already underway to extend his contract past 2025.

A scenario could arise where Inzaghi has already committed his future to Inter before the end of the current season, ending any hopes that Chelsea or another club may have on securing his services.

Recently, it was claimed that Chelsea were already considering the likes of Ruben Amorim and Roberto De Zerbi - of Sporting Lisbon and Brighton & Hove Albion - as potential alternatives to Pochettino.
