Chelsea's Willian, Juan Cuadrado, Filipe Luis to miss start of the season

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho confirms that Willian, Juan Cuadrado and Filipe Luis will miss the start of the season due to their participation in the Copa America.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Willian, Juan Cuadrado and Filipe Luis will miss the start of the Premier League season due to their participation in the Copa America.

Willian and Luis will be part of the Brazil squad for the tournament, which begins on June 11 in Chile, while Cuadrado will represent Colombia.

Mourinho has insisted that he will not include the three players in his squads for the early stages of the 2015-16 campaign as they will need time to rest before being thrown back into action.

"They will miss the start of the season, yes," Mourinho told the Daily Mail. "They will all need a holiday and it is very important for them that they have get a proper rest."

This does not apply to Brazilian Oscar as he failed to make the squad due to injury.
