Guus Hiddink "not involved" with Chelsea's search for next manager

Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink insists that he is "not involved" with the club's search for his successor amid talk that Antonio Conte is close to agreeing a deal.

Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink has said that he is "not involved" with the club's search for a new permanent manager amid rumours that Antonio Conte is closing in on the job.

Recent reports have suggested that current Italy manager Conte will sign a three-year deal with Chelsea after the European Championships in France this summer.

When asked about the speculation today, Hiddink suggested that he knew little about who might succeed him in charge of the Blues.

"You have heard more than me because that's your job," the Dutchman told reporters. "I'm not involved in this and that's all you'll get from me. I'm in favour that when things are done, you make it transparent."

Hiddink also revealed that John Terry would again miss out this weekend in the Premier League against Southampton with a hamstring problem.
