Luis Enrique allegedly wants three conditions met if he is to agree to become the next head coach at Chelsea.

Luis Enrique would allegedly set out three conditions if he were to enter the running to become the next Chelsea head coach.

Speculation is currently building over how the Blues will handle their decision to remove Graham Potter from the dugout on Sunday evening.

Bruno Saltor has been handed the reins on an interim basis, the Spaniard starting his stint with a goalless draw at home to Liverpool.

However, it is unclear whether the Chelsea hierarchy would be prepared to enter a crucial period of the season with someone who took charge of his first-ever match on Tuesday night.

Former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has reportedly entered the equation, the club legend being in attendance for the stalemate with Liverpool, and it has been claimed that he may be offered the chance to step in for the rest of the season.

Nevertheless, the general consensus is that Julian Nagelsmann, Enrique and Ruben Amorim are the three long-term options being considered by Todd Boehly and co.

According to Fichajes, Enrique would inform the Chelsea powers-that-be of three criteria that he would want fulfilling if he were to accept any offer.

The former Barcelona and Spain manager would demand that he would be given an extended time to achieve success with Chelsea, aware of the short timeframe which is usually provided to the lead man in the dugout.

Enrique would be hugely in favour of the squad numbers being heavily reduced, the 52-year-old preferring to work with a smaller amount of players on the training pitch.

That is something which is expected to materialise due to Chelsea's desperate need to raise funds in order to meet FFP criteria in the short and long term.

That said, Enrique would allegedly insist on a wide number of additions being made, most notably in attack where he would want 'a striker with mobility'.

A commanding midfielder to play alongside Enzo Fernandez would also allegedly be at the top of his priorities, as would having different options in wide areas.

Chelsea are already well stocked in the latter two areas and would need to significantly tinker with the make-up of the senior ranks to meet Enrique's wishlist.
