Nemanja Matic: 'Eden Hazard will get better'

Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic warns the Blues' Premier League rivals that teammate and PFA Player of the Year for 2014-15 Eden Hazard can still improve.

Nemanja Matic has warned Chelsea's Premier League rivals that teammate Eden Hazard can still get better.

The Belgian star scooped PFA and Writer's Player of the Year last season after inspiring the Blues to league and Capital One Cup glory.

It represented the 24-year-old's best campaign since joining the West Londoners in 2012, but Matic says that the playmaker has plenty more to offer next term.

"He was the best player in the league last season, he won the trophy for being the best and he deserved that and he's still so young! He can still improve," he told the Daily Mail.

"Usually it's a player from the champions that wins the best player and he was so good for us – scoring important goals and assisting others.

"Whenever I don't know what to do with the ball I just give it to Eden! He usually finds a way to create an opportunity."

Hazard netted 19 times and bagged 11 assists in all competitions last season.
