John Terry "uncomfortable" with guard of honour against Liverpool

John Terry admits that he is not looking forward to the guard of honour Chelsea will receive from Liverpool after being crowned champions last weekend.

Chelsea captain John Terry has admitted that he is uncomfortable with the prospect of receiving a guard of honour from Liverpool tomorrow afternoon.

The applause will be given to the newly-crowned champions at Stamford Bridge, a year after Liverpool's title challenge stumbled when facing Chelsea at Anfield, which featured Steven Gerrard's infamous slip.

"Very uncomfortable actually. Because they're fellow professionals and fellow peers, it seems a bit strange for them to be standing out. I think both sides will be a bit uncomfortable," he told Fox Sports of his feelings about the pre-match tradition.

"They're a very good side, people like Stevie G (Gerrard) I have a lot of respect for. It just wouldn't seem right, if I'm honest."

Liverpool still have an outside chance of qualifying for the Champions League, but are four points behind Manchester United with three games left.
