Marc Wilmots: 'Eden Hazard will not play 90 minutes against Ivory Coast'

Belgium manager Marc Wilmots confirms that Eden Hazard will only play a limited role against Ivory Coast.

Belgium manager Marc Wilmots has revealed that Eden Hazard will only play a limited role in Wednesday's friendly against Ivory Coast.

Hazard has been in impressive form for Chelsea this season and Jose Mourinho is believed to be eager to see the 23-year-old given a rest.

Mourinho's wish will be granted as Wilmots prepares to use Hazard as an option from the bench.

"Whether Mourinho had asked or not, I wasn't planning to play Hazard for 90 minutes," Wilmots told reporters. "I was already planning to rest Hazard for a longer time.

"He has played so many games that he can use some rest. It is possible that he will play for 20 minutes."

Hazard returns to action with Chelsea against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
