The hosts took the lead in the 10th minute when Oscar got the final touch to Gary Cahill's header from a corner.

Despite failing to show much attacking intent during the first half, Spurs equalised in the 25th minute as Emmanuel Adebayor curled the ball past the helpless Petr Cech from 25 yards.

However, Chelsea had the final say in the opening 45 minutes through Ramires, who got on the end of Fernando Torres's pass to poke the ball beyond Hugo Lloris.

The hosts enjoyed the better chances during the second half, but the visitors levelled again in the 79th minute when Gylfi Sigurdsson ran onto Adebayor's clever flick before slotting the ball home.

Both sides pushed hard for a winner during a frantic final few minutes, although neither was able to find the net again.
