Atletico Madrid eye Diego Costa reunion?

A report in Spain says that Atletico Madrid will use the money from Jackson Martinez's sale to try to re-sign Diego Costa from Chelsea.

Jackson Martinez's exit from Atletico Madrid has paved the way for Diego Costa to return to the club in the summer, according to a Spanish report.

Colombia international Martinez only arrived at the Vicente Calderon last summer, but earlier today it was confirmed that he had switched to Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande in a deal thought to be worth £31m.

Marca has since claimed that Atletico will now use some of those funds to tempt Costa back to the Spanish capital.

The 27-year-old found the net on 64 occasions during his three-season stint with Los Rojiblancos prior to his departure for Chelsea in 2014.

Recent speculation has claimed that the West Londoners will consider offers for the centre-forward, particularly from those clubs that are based overseas.
