Chelsea have joined Barcelona in tracking Standard Liege striker Michy Batshuayi.
The 18-year-old forward has scored six first-team goals this season, including the winner in Standard's 1-0 Europa League win away at FC Copenhagen in December.
Blues owner Roman Abramovich believes that the squad at Stamford Bridge is too old and Batshuayi is on a shortlist of potential signings that would freshen up the side, according to The Sun.
The 18-year-old was born in the Republic of Congo but has spent his entire youth career in Belgium, having spells at Anderlect and FC Brussels before signing for his current employers in 2008.
Chelsea progressed to the FA Cup quarter-finals last night with a 2-0 win over Birmingham City.
