Chelsea are reportedly facing a losing battle to keep hold of Diego Costa.
Recent speculation had claimed that Antonio Conte, who today was confirmed as the club's new boss from the start of next season, had made persuading the 27-year-old to stay put one of his first tasks.
However, The Telegraph claims that despite Conte's appointment, the striker is determined to leave Stamford Bridge.
The report adds that Costa has grown particularly frustrated by the hefty scrutiny given to his on-pitch conduct.
Costa joined the Blues from Atletico Madrid for £32.5m in 2014 and a return to the Spanish capital is said to be his preferred option.
