Report: Chelsea's Filipe Luis rejects summer move to Real Madrid

Chelsea left-back Filipe Luis reportedly rejects an opportunity to join Real Madrid this summer.

Chelsea left-back Filipe Luis has reportedly turned down an approach from Spanish giants Real Madrid.

There have been suggestions that the 29-year-old's time at Stamford Bridge could be coming to an end after just one season due to a lack of playing time.

Luis signed for the Blues from Atletico Madrid last summer, but struggled to push Cesar Azpilicueta out of the first-team spot under manager Jose Mourinho.

According to Marca, Real have informed Luis of their interest in signing him, but the Brazilian has rebuffed the club's advances and will only consider returning to Spain if Atletico Madrid come calling.

Luis spent four years at the Vicente Calderon.
