Shaun Maloney has reportedly opened talks with MLS side Chicago Fire after turning down a deal with Leicester City.
The Scot was thought to be closing on a move to the Foxes, but the deal collapsed over personal terms.
However, the Daily Mail claims that Maloney has chosen to move to the United States and has been discussing a switch with the Eastern Conference outfit.
Chicago are currently managed by former Ipswich Town defender Frank Yallop.
