Coventry City will be searching for their first win since before Christmas when they host struggling Huddersfield Town at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Saturday afternoon in the Championship.

This fixture was originally scheduled at the start of the season, but due to pitch issues at the CBS Arena as well as both teams failing to progress in the FA Cup, the meeting will take place this weekend.

We say: Coventry City 2-1 Huddersfield Town

Coventry are on a poor run of form and will be relishing the opportunity to earn three points against a struggling Huddersfield side, especially with the majority of Championship teams in FA Cup action this weekend.

The Terriers are never blown away in matches but are winless in 2023 so far, with the trip to the CBS Arena a tricky place to change that statistic.

Hull City will be looking to record their first victory in four matches when they host Queens Park Rangers at The MKM Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the Championship.

While the majority of Premier League and Championship teams focus on FA Cup action this weekend, Hull and QPR will battle it out for crucial second-tier points after both exiting the cup competition earlier in the month.

We say: Hull City 1-2 Queens Park Rangers

Hull have endured a difficult last three matches but have improved overall under Rosenior so far, with the Tigers now facing successive home matches against QPR and Cardiff City.

The R's need to turn their consistent draws into consistent wins if they are to chase down the top six this season, and with the quality they possess in attacking areas, we are backing them to earn three points at the MKM Stadium on Saturday.

Watford will travel to the Riverside Stadium on Saturday to take on Middlesbrough in an important contest at the top end of the Championship table.

With every other side in the top half of England's second tier in FA Cup action this weekend, the league's sixth and third-placed sides will fight to further improve their position in the playoff places.

We say: Middlesbrough 2-1 Watford

Although they did suffer a disappointing defeat last time out, Middlesbrough are full of confidence under Carrick, and taking on a Watford side who are badly hit by injuries and struggling for consistency, we fancy them to come out on top at the Riverside Stadium.
