Tony Pulis hails "fantastic" Joe Ledley

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis heaps praise on midfielder Joe Ledley for his performance in the Eagles' 3-0 win over Cardiff City yesterday.

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has heaped praise upon midfielder Joe Ledley for his performance in yesterday's 3-0 win over Cardiff City.

Ledley was instrumental in helping Palace to a crucial win over his former side, setting up Jason Puncheon for the first goal before getting his own name on the scoresheet to double the Eagles' lead.

The result made it back-to-back wins for Palace as they edged closer to Premier League survival, and Pulis was full of praise for the part the 27-year-old midfielder played.

"I thought Ledley was fantastic. He has brought a little bit of class, he has got a fantastic attitude, his work-rate suits what I want as a manager and his ability is absolutely first-class," Pulis is quoted as saying by PA.

"It was great passing. The first pass he passed it through the eye of a needle for 'Punch' to get hold of it."

Palace are now seven points clear of the relegation zone with a game in hand over two of the teams in the bottom three.
