Crystal Palace to complete permanent deal for Jason Puncheon?

Crystal Palace are close to completing a deal to sign Jason Puncheon on a permanent basis, according to reports.

Crystal Palace have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Jason Puncheon from Southampton on a permanent basis.

The 27-year-old joined Palace on a season-long loan in August and has been a key figure in helping the team out of the relegation zone since Tony Pulis took over as manager.

Despite handing Puncheon a new three-year contract last March, Southampton are believed to be open to allowing him to leave for a fee of £1.75m, according to Sky Sports News.

Palace are expected to be willing to pay the asking price and the transfer could be announced before the transfer window closes on Friday.

Puncheon scored the winner for Palace in a 1-0 victory over Hull City on Tuesday.
