Former Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Juan Carlos Valeron joins Las Palmas on a one-year contract.

Experienced Spaniard Juan Carlos Valeron has agreed a one-year contract with his former club Las Palmas.

The 38-year-old, who left Deportivo La Coruna at the end of last season after 13 years at the club, was expected to announce his retirement this month.

However, the experienced midfielder has now penned a one-year deal with the Segunda Division outfit, with the option of a second season based on appearances.

Valeron, who made 46 appearances for Spain before retiring from international duty in 2005, featured 33 times for Deportivo in La Liga last season.
