Doncaster remain bottom of the Championship table after a 0-0 draw with Watford on Saturday afternoon.
It was the home side who made the early running with El-Hadji Diouf proving a thorn in the side of the Watford defence.
Watford remained strong, however, and had chances themselves without ever really threatening to break the deadlock.
On-loan West Brom striker Marc-Antoine Fortune proved a threat in the opening half but was too often caught offside when the home side threatened to counter.
Watford, marshalled by experienced defender Nyron Nosworthy, remained resolute at the back in the second half with Doncaster's only chance of note coming through Billy Sharp deep into the period.
The result leaves Doncaster bottom, while Watford sit just a point outside the drop zone after 18 games played.
