Ten-man Wolfsburg end their 2012-13 Bundesliga campaign with a 2-2 away draw against Eintracht Frankfurt, who finish sixth in the league table.

Wolfsburg have been held to a 2-2 draw by Eintracht Frankfurt away from home in the Bundesliga, despite playing most of the game with 10 men.

The visitors surged ahead in the eighth minute through Jan Polak, who headed home Ricardo Rodriguez's delivery from close range.

Wolfsburg doubled their lead in the 19th minute when Diego latched on to Ivica Olic's pass to fire home from the centre of the Frankfurt box.

However, they gave hosts Frankfurt a lifeline in the 35th minute when Makoto Hasebe brought down Takashi Inui inside the penalty box.

Hasebe was shown a straight red card and Alexander Meier successfully converted the spot kick.

Frankfurt were unlucky not to restore parity four minutes into the second half when Anderson's header from Constant Djakpa's corner came back off the post.

Then on the hour mark Pirmin Schwegler tried his luck from distance for the hosts, but failed to keep his attempt on target.

The hosts eventually earned a point and the equaliser came in the 90th minute when Rodriguez put the ball inside his own net.
