England are reportedly close to finalising a friendly against reigning European champions Spain in November.
With Roy Hodgson's side sitting top of their Euro 2016 qualifying group after winning their opening four matches, the fixture is expected to go ahead on November 14 if both countries manage to avoid the playoffs.
Vicente del Bosque's side are currently in second place in Group C, level on points with leaders Ukraine.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the game has been lined up as part of a deal struck between Europe's top footballing nations to take on one another during international weeks that have been earmarked for friendlies and exhibition matches.
The report adds that Barcelona's Camp Nou could be the venue for the game, which would be the first time that the stadium has hosted La Roja since a friendly against Holland in 1987.
England emerged 1-0 winners when the two countries last met at Wembley in 2011, with Frank Lampard scoring the only goal.
