Roy Hodgson expects respectful Wembley crowd at England-France

England manager Roy Hodgson encourages all supporters at Wembley on Tuesday to respect the pre-match ceremonies following the terror attacks in Paris.

England manager Roy Hodgson has urged all supporters to play their part at tonight's international friendly against France at Wembley.

The match is going ahead just four days after French capital Paris was devastated by a coordinated terrorist attack that has left 132 dead.

Before tonight's match, the words of the French national anthem will be displayed on big screens for all to sing and there will also be a tricolore French flag displayed by supporters in the East side of the stadium.

"We hope the ceremonies will be respected," PA quotes Hodgson as saying.

"If there's one thing that I truly wish for it is that we show the respect I'd expect every single Englishman to show."

Prime minister David Cameron and Football Association president Prince William will be in attendance at Wembley, where fans have been asked to arrive as early as possible due to heightened security measures.
