Stuart Pearce reveals that he has picked his England captain for tomorrow night, but will not make his decision public until tomorrow.

England's interim coach Stuart Pearce has revealed that he has selected who will captain the Three Lions against Holland tomorrow night.

However, Pearce will not make his decision public knowledge until tomorrow when he informs the players.

"The captain will be announced tomorrow. It's a format I've followed at club and international level. I think somebody that has the respect of the other players and who puts the team before himself," Pearce told a press conference.

Pearce also admitted that he came to a decision over who will lead the side out "a few weeks ago".

"There is no doubt there are several candidates for the captaincy," added Pearce. "But I made my mind up a few weeks ago. Also, there isn't anybody in the squad who I'd fear putting on the pitch."

Joe Hart, Steven Gerrard and James Milner are the reported front runners to be handed the armband.
