Italy's 1-0 UEFA Nations League win over England ensures the Three Lions are now experiencing their worst run of form since 1992.

England are enduring their worst spell of form since 1992 after being beaten 1-0 by Italy in the UEFA Nations League.

A second-half strike from Giacomo Raspadori proved enough to condemn the Three Lions to defeat and subsequent relegation from League A.

As a result of the defeat, England are now winless in five competitive matches for the first time since 1992 as their preparations for the upcoming World Cup took another hit.

Goalscoring has proven to be a particular issue for Gareth Southgate's side, who have found the net on just one occasion in their Nations League campaign, with a late Harry Kane penalty in the 1-1 draw against Germany.

San Marino are the only other side who are yet to score a non-penalty goal in the current edition of the Nations League, while England have also failed to score in three consecutive matches for the first time since 2000.

England will have one last chance to end their winless run and gain confidence before the World Cup when they face Germany on Monday.
