Phil Jagielka pleased with "job well done"

England defender Phil Jagielka believes that the team's 3-0 win over Peru was a "job well done".

Phil Jagielka has described England's performance in their international friendly against Peru as a "job well done".

Roy Hodgson's side took a 3-0 win over the South American side yesterday evening in their final home match before the World Cup in Brazil.

The defender, who scored the third of the goals, told TheFA.com: "We know it's important, the last time the home fans get to see us play before the tournament, so it was important we put a good performance in.

"The way the scoreline went and the performance it was a job well done. We'll look back at the game and iron out any little things that could have gone wrong, or slightly did.

"I don't get too many goals and keep getting told I need more. So hopefully this is the start of a hot-streak for me and it lasts for a few more games."

England will continue their preparations for next month's tournament with a friendly against Honduras in Miami next Saturday.
