Espanyol sign Diego Lopez on loan

Espanyol sign AC Milan goalkeeper Diego Lopez on a season-long loan deal after allowing Pau Lopez to move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Espanyol have signed AC Milan goalkeeper Diego Lopez on a season-long loan deal.

The Spanish outfit sanctioned Pau Lopez's loan move to Tottenham Hotspur earlier this evening and Lopez has arrived as the 21-year-old's replacement for the 2016-17 campaign.

The experienced Italian, who has previously represented Real Madrid, Sevilla and Villarreal in Spain, will compete with Roberto for the number one position at the Barcelona club this season.

It is understood that Espanyol, who have also agreed to sign Diego Reyes from Porto on transfer deadline day, will have the chance to make the deal permanent at the end of the current campaign.
