Scotland captain Darren Fletcher has flown out to Liechtenstein to join up with the squad ahead of their Euro 2012 qualifier.
The Manchester United midfielder didn't travel to Vaduz because of tonsillitis but has apparently recovered and is now in line to lead out the Scots on Saturday evening.
Manager Scott Levein originally declared the 27-year-old unfit but has now said: "Darren will arrive today and I have not 100% ruled him out of tomorrow. He feels better.
"I have to wait to see him and assess him. If the medical team gives him the thumbs up he will play, if not he is 100% certain to be involved on Tuesday [against Spain]."
Levein's side are still clinging on to the possibility of qualifying for next year's tournament in Poland and Ukraine.
In order to take the runners-up spot behind world and European champions Spain, they must defeat Liechtenstein and take something from their trip to Spain while hoping the Czech Republic slip up in their games against Lithuania and Spain.
