Roberto Martinez: 'Romelu Lukaku focused on Everton'

Everton manager Roberto Martinez insists that media reports about Romelu Lukaku have not affected his form.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has insisted that Romelu Lukaku is focused on his football despite reports about his long-term future circulating.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho recently sparked speculation about why the Belgian moved to Goodison Park on loan, but Martinez is adamant that this has not impacted on his form.

"You are always going to get situations like that. When a player is on loan, there is always communication between the players and the clubs but it doesn't matter what happens in the press, he is focused," BBC Sport quotes the Spaniard as saying.

Lukaku netted Everton's fourth goal during this afternoon's 4-0 win over Stoke City.
