Everton's John Stones wins Supporters' Club Player of the Year award

Everton centre-back John Stones is named the Supporters' Club Player of the Year award during an event at Goodison Park.

Everton defender John Stones was handed the Supporters' Club Player of the Year award at an event at Goodison Park on Tuesday evening.

The 20-year-old has established himself in the first team under manager Roberto Martinez, and has impressed on the pitch during a season that has been rather lacklustre for the Toffees.

At the event last night, Stones was handed a canvas showing the defender celebrating his first Premier League goal in his side's 3-0 win over Manchester United last month.

Stones's performances have also reportedly attracted the interest of top-flight heavyweights Chelsea and Manchester City.
