Everton are preparing to make a January offer for AEK Athens defender Kostas Manolas, according to Sky Sports News.
Toffees manager David Moyes is believed to been keen on bolstering his defensive options and has identified the 20-year-old as the ideal candidate.
However, Everton are not the only English club said to be monitoring the centre-back's availability.
Blackburn Rovers, Newcastle United, Wigan Athletic and West Ham United have all been credited with an interest in Manolas.
It is thought that AEK will ask for at least £5m to claim his services.
