Everton have allegedly agreed to allow Oumar Niasse to spend the rest of the season on loan at Cardiff City.
The Bluebirds are known to be in the market for attacking players during the current transfer window, with Nantes frontman Emiliano Sala said to be mulling over a switch to South Wales.
However, it appears that Niasse will be the first striker through the door at the Cardiff City Stadium, with Sky Sports News quoting chief executive Ken Choo as saying that the player is due to undergo a medical over the next 24 hours.
Niasse cost Everton a fee of £12.5m at the start of 2016, but the Senegal international has never been regarded as first choice at Goodison Park despite a return of eight goals from 12 starts and 20 substitute outings in the Premier League.
The departure of Niasse is likely to lead to Everton eyeing a replacement over the next two weeks.
