Everton are reportedly weighing up a move for former Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar.
The 30-year-old is a free agent after leaving Villa in the summer, having failed to agree an extension to his contract at Villa Park amid doubts over his fitness following a knee injury.
The Netherlands international has been linked with a host of clubs across Europe, including Manchester United, Southampton, AC Milan and Inter Milan.
According to Clubcall.com, Vlaar wants to resume his career in England and Everton are leading the chase for his signature, with manager Roberto Martinez keen to offer him a contract until the end of the season.
Vlaar, who has won 31 caps for the Netherlands, made 88 appearances in three years at Villa after joining them from Feyenoord in 2012.
