Everton are reportedly prepared to pay as much as £25m for Swansea City playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson this summer.
The 27-year-old has delivered an impressive return of nine goals and 12 assists as an ever-present for the Swans this term, but could yet find himself part of a side that is relegated from the Premier League.
Paul Clement's side are currently 17th in the table and just one point above the dotted line ahead of crunch games with Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion in the next nine days.
According to Sky Sports News, Toffees manager Ronald Koeman is a keen admirer of the Iceland international and is prepared to spend "in the region of £25m" to bring him from South Wales this summer, but will face competition from Southampton for his signature.
Koeman has already warned Ross Barkley that he has one week to make a decision on his future and is actively scouting potential reinforcements in the middle of the park.
Sigurdsson penned terms on a new four-year deal with Swansea last summer amid reported interest from Everton.
