According to The Mirror, Toffees boss Roberto Martinez sent chief scout Kevin Reeves to watch Souttar during Saturday's 4-1 win over Hearts.
Souttar is not the only Tannadice-based teenage star that Everton are rumoured to be keeping tabs on.
The Premier League outfit are also said to be keen on midfielder Ryan Gauld.
