Rangers have reportedly identified Everton midfielder Kieran Dowell as a potential signing for the January transfer window.
The Glasgow giants currently find themselves at the top of the Scottish Premiership standings, while the club retain a chance of progressing through to the last 32 of the Europa League.
However, manager Steven Gerrard is likely to be active in the transfer market at the start of 2019, and according to The Mirror, the Englishman is keen to secure a loan deal for Dowell.
The 21-year-old penned a new contract with the Toffees during the summer, but the playmaker has made just two appearances in cup competitions this season.
That could lead to manager Marco Silva being prepared to allow the England Under-21 international to spend time at Ibrox on a temporary basis.
