Danny Murphy is reportedly ready to leave Blackburn Rovers and return to former club Fulham.

Danny Murphy could reportedly be leaving Blackburn Rovers to take up a coaching role with former club Fulham.

The 35-year-old left Craven Cottage in the summer to sign a two-year deal with the Championship side.

However, the midfielder is thought to be unhappy with life under new Rovers manager Michael Appleton after he was stripped of the captaincy.

Fulham are now ready to offer the veteran a job behind the scenes at the club, according to The Mirror.

Murphy joined the Cottagers from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2007 and helped guide the team to the Europa League final three years later.
