Martin Jol fears Bryan Ruiz could miss the remainder of the Premier League season with a suspected metatarsal break.

Fulham forward Bryan Ruiz could miss the rest of the season if his suspected metatarsal break is confirmed.

The Costa Rica international was stretchered off during the Cottagers' 3-0 win over Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium yesterday afternoon.

Manager Martin Jol said that he is waiting on the results of a scan which will determine whether Ruiz will be ruled out for what remains of the campaign.

"It is worrying - he has probably broken his metatarsal. That is a problem," said Jol.

Fulham signed Ruiz from Dutch side FC Twente for a reported £10.6m fee last summer.
