Adel Taarabt wants to repay Martin Jol

Adel Taarabt says that he wants to do well for Fulham manager Martin Jol but does not feel that he has anything to prove in the Premier League.

Fulham midfielder Adel Taarabt has said that he wants to repay the faith shown in him by manager Martin Jol.

The 24-year-old has yet to score in five league outings for the Cottagers, whom he joined on loan from West London rivals Queens Park Rangers in August.

Although he has made a slow start to life at Craven Cottage, the Moroccan international does not feel that he has anything to prove in the Premier League.

"I do not have anything to prove because I've proved to people what I can do already," Taarabt told the London Evening Standard.

"At the moment Neil is the only one who took me when I was shining all of the time, but it is no problem for me and I can do it under Martin because he trusts me a lot.

"I have known Martin for a long time. He gave me my debut when I was 17 at Tottenham and he wanted me when he was at Ajax and Hamburg. He brought me here and convinced the club to take me, so now I have got to repay him as quickly as possible."

Taarabt scored five goals in 31 appearances for the Hoops last season.
