League One outfit Barnsley are reportedly close to securing the loan signing of Fulham forward Cauley Woodrow.

Barnsley have reportedly moved to the brink of signing Fulham forward Cauley Woodrow.

The Tykes have enjoyed a strong start to the new League One campaign, but the Yorkshire outfit are in need of a new striker after allowing Tom Bradshaw to sign for Millwall.

According to The Sun, that has resulted in Barnsley making a move for Woodrow, who does not appear to have a future at Craven Cottage.

The 23-year-old has progressed through the academy ranks to net 12 goals from 29 starts and 37 substitute appearances for the first team, but the club's promotion to the Premier League has left the frontman out of the plans of Slavisa Jokanovic.

The report suggests that Barnsley will complete a permanent deal in January after an initial loan agreement.
