Fulham are reportedly still showing an interest in Stuttgart forward Silas after failing to secure his signature in the January transfer window.

Fulham are reportedly still interested in signing Silas from Bundesliga club Stuttgart.

The Cottagers are likely to delve into the transfer market to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Willian are among those who are out of contract in the summer, raising the possibility that they could walk away on free transfers.

Although Fulham are seemingly keen to agree new deals with the pair, their potential departures would leave Fulham light in the wide positions.

Harry Wilson is not a guaranteed starter in Marco Silva's side, while Adama Traore has struggled with injury in his first season in West London.

Silva can also call upon the services of Alex Iwobi, but the Nigeria international has been utilised in central areas as well as on the flanks this season.

Fulham willing to revisit Silas deal

With the Cottagers open to bolster their wide options, Sky Deutschland are reporting that Fulham retains an interest in Silas after failing to secure his signature in the January transfer window.

The Premier League outfit were willing to submit a €20m (£17.2m) offer in the winter market, but the deal failed to materialise because Fulham's offer arrived too late in the window.

Despite failing to land the winger in January, Fulham are still open to the prospect of signing him when the transfer window reopens in the summer.

The report claims that Fulham sent scouts to watch Stuttgart's 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt at the MPHArena earlier this month.

Unfortunately for Fulham, they only saw Silas appear as a stoppage-time replacement for Stuttgart's prolific goalscorer Serhou Guirassy.

Silas open to departure

Despite having two years left to run on his contract, Silas is open about his future and is not ruling out the prospect of a summer departure.

However, it is unclear whether Fulham are still willing to meet Stuttgart's asking price, which is currently said to be in the region of €10m (£8.9m) to €15m (12.9m).

Silas has struggled to force his way into Sebastian Hoeness's side this season, having started just eight of his 23 Bundesliga appearances.

The lack of starting opportunities has not stopped Silas from registering five goals and five assists in 26 competitive matches this term.

In total, the DR Congo international has made 127 appearances since joining Stuttgart in 2019, scoring 33 goals and providing 20 assists.
