Gillingham boss Martin Allen has confirmed that the club are interested in signing a number of attacking options.
The Gills have already registered 10 goals in five games this season, but Allen has reiterated a desire to add quality to the squad.
"I know the offers that have been bandied about, there has been a lot of money offered, and if they don't come for that or the bid's not accepted we move on to the next one. The chairman is very ambitious and the offers that have been made are very generous," he told KentOnline.
"Hopefully we may be able to bring in another experienced striker, that's what we are looking to do. I think it is essential to the spine in the middle of the team to have somebody with stature and knowledge."
Gillingham currently sit top of League Two.
