Hartlepool United boss Ronnie Moore has revealed that he intends to delve into the emergency loan market in order to bring in additional options.
Pools have lost their last three League Two outings to slip down to ninth place in the early standings.
To make matters worse, all three right-backs are unavailable for the next few weeks due to mounting injury and suspension problems.
Moore is now desperate to bring in some cover in that troublesome position, while also strengthening elsewhere when the loan window opens for business on Wednesday.
"Right-back is a problem now," he is quoted as saying by the Sunderland Echo. "It is a position we will look at and if we can do something about that when the window opens, then we will get that done for this weekend.
"I have been looking at midfielders, too. I think we need something else in midfield - we need some pace in there, a box-to-box type, whether we play in a two or a three."
Hartlepool travel to Exeter City in their next league fixture in five days' time.
