Paul Jewell wants caretaker boss Chris Hutchins to get permanent Ipswich Town job

Former Ipswich Town manager Paul Jewell says that he hopes caretaker boss Chris Hutchins is given the permanent job following Jewell's dismissal.

Former Ipswich Town boss Paul Jewell has claimed that he hopes caretaker boss Chris Hutchins gets the permanent position at Portman Road.

The former Wigan Athletic boss parted company with the Championship club yesterday following a difficult start to the campaign.

"I hope we win Saturday [against Sheffield Wednesday] and I'd like Chris to get the job," Jewell told BBC Radio Suffolk.

Meanwhile, Inverness boss Terry Butcher says that he is not interested in the vacancy.
