Juventus hit with partial stadium closure

Juventus have different sections of their ground closed for one and two matches respectively for derogatory chanting directed at Napoli fans last night.

Juventus will have to play their next two home matches in Serie A with parts of the stadium closed after Bianconeri supporters were found guilty of derogatory chants.

The Curva Nord stand at the Juventus Stadium will be shut for one match following insulting chants directed towards Napoli fans during last night's 3-0 win in Turin, while the Curva Sud will be closed for two matches for the same offence.

Antonio Conte's side face playing in front of a smaller crowd for home matches against Udinese and Sassuolo before Christmas, after a swift decision from Italian football authorities was delivered this evening.

Lega Serie A officials also decided to fine the Old Lady £41,780 as further punishment for clashes between the two sets of supporters on an intense night in Turin.

Napoli were also fined the same amount after throwing a firework towards Juventus supporters, an incident which left four people with minor injuries.

Juve went above Napoli to second with victory in the top-of-the-table clash, with goals from Fernando Llorente, Andrea Pirlo and Paul Pogba moving the defending champions to within a point of Serie A leaders Roma.
